FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

(AND NOT-SO-FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS THAT STILL NEED TO BE ANSWERED)

1. Where do you find your pictures?

A wide plethora of places, actually. Flickr, Google Images, other blogs, etc. 

2. Why do you like beards so much?

They’re rugged. It’s hot. They look manly. Something about them makes my heart go boom-badoom-boom, boom-badoom-boom, ifyouknowwhatimean.

3. Are you a hipster?

I’m not sure I can answer that question. If I say no, I look like more of a hipster. If I say yes, it negates any hipster points, making me a liar. So… Maybe? Let’s put it this way: I go to a small liberal arts university, I like music that you’ve never heard of, and, well, I have a thing for beards. (Actually, that last one could probably make me either a hipster or Ke$ha. Take your pick.) I think if I HAD to label myself, though, I’d go with folkster. I just don’t think I’m truly hip enough to be a hipster! Why do people even ask me this question? Haha

4. Why do you use such ~proper English~?

I’m going to school to be an English teacher right now, and I’m not a hypocrite.

5. Scott or Seth Avett?

Don’t do this to me.

6. Why do you delete all the text underneath your pictures before you reblog them?

I just think it looks cleaner. I prefer having no text underneath the picture. I leave the credits and everything; I would never delete those. I just delete any text that came with the picture. I like to keep my blog uniform.

7. Why don’t you post _______ kinds of beards?

I just post what I find and like. If you submit the kind of beard you want to see on the blog, I’ll post it ;)

8. Why do you sometimes not post for an entire day or two?

I get really busy sometimes. Sorry. I always come back, don’t I?

9. Hey, you posted that picture already!

Okay, that’s not a question. But I might sometimes repeat a picture. I can’t remember every single picture I’ve posted or reblogged, so it’s hard not to repeat on occasion. I really, really try not to, though.

10. Why didn’t you post my submission?!?! Why are you not explaining this in my ask?!

Well, I get a lot of submissions, so there are different reasons why I might not have posted yours. The most common reason is that you’ve submitted something that’s already been posted. (That happens a lot!) It also might have been because what you submitted just didn’t appeal to my tastes, and I didn’t think it would appeal to my followers’, either. (This isn’t as common. I post a lot of submitted guys whom I don’t find very attractive, but I know a lot of my followers do. This really only happens if a dude is super-old or just really not attractive.)

I’m not answering this in your ask because it would take a lot of time to tell every single person whose submission I didn’t post why I didn’t post it.

11. That’s not a beard.

And that’s not a question. Everything’s fair game here. If it’s facial hair, and I like it, I’m posting it. It’s my blog. Go start your own if you don’t like what I post.

12. Do you follow back?

Yes, I do. But not for the reason you think (probably)! I follow back because we obviously have similar interests, which means I’ll probably enjoy looking at the things you post. I quite often reblog the followers of this blog on my personal blog. (And okay, yes, it does help get more followers… Sue me!)

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Just because I didn’t post one of your submissions doesn’t mean I won’t ever post anything you submit! Always feel free to submit something else. Seriously! I love submissions. It makes my life easier, and I know it’s something my followers want since they’re the ones who give it to me to post. So keep being awesome and submitting!
